YOLOTLI combines art, style and longevity to create timeless designs for the sophisticated and conscious customer by promoting excellent craftsmanship, artisanal techniques and the highest quality natural materials |
[ YOLOTLI = HEIRLOOM QUALITY ] THE BRAND Nicole founded YOLOTLI in 2012 when she felt the necessity to create something to counter the throw-away culture we are surrounded by. With the goal to design and craft clothes and accessories that fit the zeitgeist of a responsible lifestyle, she wanted to help draw attention to the impact of a more conscious way of living: using all-natural materials that are of high quality and can decompose at the end of their life span or recycle already existing materials, design minimally so the pieces become timeless, make things well so they last + repair them if they break. YOLOTLI specializes in creating large and small-scale textile art, responsibly handmade clothing, accessories and home goods by using traditional techniques and transcribing them into contemporary designs. [ YOLOTLI = HANDMADE ] THE PROCESS Going back to her German roots she applies the values she was raised with and skills she has accumulated over the years to create timeless and long-lasting designs. All of her work is handmade of highest quality materials and most of the pieces are hand-sewn, hand-embroidered and hand-knit at her studio in Napa or made in collaboration within our Bay Area community. Her process often leads to collaborations with artists and artisans. Every piece that leaves the studio has a handmade feel, lasts long and tells a story. |
